To View a List of Available Macro Units and Design Units

The Units view provides a list of public macro units and compatible as well as your private units. The list shows the key properties for each unit, such as its ID, its name and type (i.e., public or private), the unit's owner and creator, the date on which the unit was created, and the date of the last update to the unit information. The Units view is displayed when you select the Units command on the Go menu or when you click either the Units folder in the Folder List or the Units shortcut on the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer Shortcut Bar.

In the Units view, you can access an individual unit to perform two types of tasks:

View or modify the properties and costs for a unit. These tasks require opening the unit's Design Unit Properties dialog box.
View or modify the components that make up the unit. These tasks require opening the unit in the Unit Assistant.

Units View

From the Go menu, choose Units to display the Units view.
Or click the Units folder in the Folder List.
Or click the Units shortcut on the Bentley OpenUtilities Designer Shortcut Bar.
To view or modify the properties for a unit, select the unit, point to Open on the File menu, and then click Unit to open the Compatible Unit Properties dialog box.
Or right-click the unit and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.
To view or modify the components of a unit, select the unit and choose Unit Assistant from the Go menu to open the Unit Assistant.
Or right-click the unit and choose Unit Assistant from the shortcut menu.
Or double-click the unit.
